This is the website of Australian Independent News, or AIR News, operated by AIR News Pty Ltd of Melbourne.

AIR News is designed specifically for Australian radio broadcasters as a quality reporter service bringing news from a national and international perspective on a daily basis to stations as far apart as Far North Queensland, Southern Tasmania, Central Australia and South West Western Australia.

AIR News is delivered in a timely fashion daily from 6am to 8pm Eastern via twin servers ensuring continuity of service every day.

Affiliated stations are provided, not only with the news service, but also our ancilliary programming like morning and afternoon headlines, a major sports package every weekday morning and an International news digest The World.

Client stations are also provided with our preferred automated download facility which is designed to ensure access to either of our servers. It's realistic to assume that there will be server issues at times, maintenance etc, so having the two servers at different locations means the likelihood of both being offline at any one time is almost impossible.

There's more to AIR News in that, not only do we present bulletins professionally, we also assist in the training of presenters and reporters for the industry. The AIR News team includes some with 40+ years in the radio industry, and we're always bringing fresh blood into the service as we develop their skills, helping them establish a radio news career.

Whilst we do not claim to operate an official training program we do have associations with a number of broadcast training establishments, and have certainly been able to assist a great many young journalists and presenters secure positions within the Radio, Television and Print media industry across Australia.
