Ten FM originally started transmitting in 1983 from a caravan on 107.5MHz. The community radio station is now located in the town of Tenterfield, just south of the N.S.W./QLD border. Major towns serviced include Tenterfield and Stanthorpe, although distant towns such as Glen Innes, Moree, and Grafton, also enjoy coverage during periods of favourable propagation. The licenced coverage area takes in Woodenbong in the north, Texas to the west, as far as Deepwater to the south and Tabulam to the east. Smaller localities that enjoy good signal strength include Yetman, Texas, Urbenville, Mingoola, Ballandean, Glen Aplin and Bonshaw, along with Wallangarra & Jennings. |
